Infants under 2 Years Old (INF)

An infant passenger under 2 years old shall be accompanied by an adult passenger and may be carried free of charge. There shall be no separate seat provided for an infant passenger since he/she shall seat on the accompanying adult passenger’s knees. Infant passengers under 7 days old shall be not accepted for carriage.  

Total amount of infant passengers, not provided with a separate seat, accepted for carriage on board of the aircraft is 10% of the total number of passengers (not exceeding 11 passengers per flight), since it shall not exceed the number of seatbelts and survival equipment for infants available on board of the aircraft.

In case one adult passenger travels with more than one infant passenger under 2 years old, but not younger than 6 months old, one infant passenger shall be seated on the adult passenger’s knees, while other infant passenger(s) shall occupy a separate seat(s).  

One adult passenger shall not travel with two or more infant passengers under 6 months old.

On international flights, 10% of the respective normal or special fare of the accompanying adult passenger shall be paid for the carriage of one infant passenger under 2 years old, provided the infant passenger does not occupy a separate seat and is accompanied by an adult passenger, unless there are any special conditions for applying such a fare.

On domestic flights, carriage of one infant passenger under 2 years old, provided the infant passenger does not occupy a separate seat and is accompanied by an adult passenger, shall be free of charge, unless there are any special conditions for applying such a fare. In this case an infant passenger shall be carried by the adult accompanying passenger without a separate seat provision, i.e. only one seat shall be reserved for the adult passenger, however, the baby’s name shall be stated in the reservation surname element. Tickets for infant passengers under 2 years old with confirmed seats (upon decision of the accompanying passenger) shall be paid for according to the corresponding fare for children from 2 to 12 years old.

Carriage of two or more infant passengers under 2 years old by one adult passenger shall be paid for according to the corresponding fare for children from 2 to 12 years old. 

50% of the respective normal or special fare of the accompanying adult passenger shall be paid for the carriage of children aged from 2 to 12, unless there are any special conditions for applying such a fare.

Children aged from 2 to 12 are given a separate seat in the aircraft. Information on traveling children shall be included in the reservation of the passenger, who shall accompany the child; date of birth or age of the child shall also be specified.

Free luggage allowance for children aged between 2 and 12, traveling for 50% of the respective normal or special fare, corresponds to the free luggage allowance for adult passengers. In case luggage weight exceeds the free luggage allowance, it shall be paid for according to the corresponding luggage fare.

Unaccjmpanied Children

Minors are allowed to travel without accompanying adults on the JSC “Nordavia – regional airlines” direct flights, provided the child is not younger than 5 years old. Upon request of parents, minors  aged between 12 and 16 may be accompanied. The service shall be ordered for the child at the moment of the ticket purchase and shall be paid for to the amount of 100% of the respective normal or special fare for an adult passenger, provided all required documents are produced. 

 

A fee shall be exacted for the carriage of unaccompanied minors in compliance with the fares application rules. 

Rules of acceptance for transportation of unaccompanied minors:

 - From 2 to 5 years old – transportation of children accompanied by representatives of the airline is not permitted 

- From 5 to 12 years old – a child must be accompanied by a representative(s) of the airline, provided he/she is not accompanied by a personal attendant (over 18 years old)

- From 12 to 16 years old – a teenager may be accompanied by a representative(s) of the airline upon parents’ request.

The child’s age shall be defined at the date of the transportation start at the airport (point) of departure, in correspondence with the carriage document.

Before the ticket purchase parents (or legal representatives) shall:

       -fill in «Notification of Special Treatment» in 5 copies, where they shall specify a child’s sex, age, full name, traveling details, date and number of the flight, full name of the person meeting the child at the airport;

       -fill in «Declaration of Parents/Guardians liability»  for meeting the child at the airport of destination.

The Notification and Declaration shall be filled in in handwriting.  All notes shall be written in legible block letters by a ball-point pen is such a way that they are distinctly copied for each next coupon of the Notification / Declaration.   

Liability of parents

   Parents and guardians shall:

·         Prepare all the required documents

·         Parents or other attendants shall bring the child to the airport of departure and stay in the airport until the aircraft departs

·         Organize meeting of the child at the airport of destination

·         When a request is submitted for transportation of an unaccompanied minor, theparents or guardians shall fill in and sign a corresponding document (“Request for Carriage”), stating all required details of such carriage

·         In case no adults meet an unaccompanied minor upon arrival, the parents / guardians shall pay all expenses related to a return carriage (meals, accommodation, ground transport, return fare, etc.)

Liability of the airline

The Airline shall bear full liability for an unaccompanied minor from the moment of the child’s transfer by the parents, a guardian or an adult trustee in the course of departure.

JSC «Nordavia – regionalairlines» liability

Pregnant women shall be allowed for carriage provided that the JSC “Nordavia – regional airlines” bears no liability for the possible consequences of the flight, health problems that occurred during or after the flight, including a premature birth.

Pregnant Women

Pregnant women in good health shall be accepted for air carriage up to the end of the 35^th week of pregnancy. Pregnant women after the 36^th week of pregnancy might be refused in air carriage.

Pregnant women traveling between the 28^th and the 35^th week of pregnancy shall have a valid health certificate, stating:

       - duration of pregnancy at the moment of carriage (issued not earlier than 7 days before the flight);

       - the fact that there exist no medical contraindications for the flight.   

Air carriage is not recommended to women during the last month of pregnancy and during 7 days after the delivery.

Written assent of a doctor for the air carriage is necessary, if:

       - delivery is expected within four weeks;

       - there are medical complications during the pregnancy;

       - there is uncertainty in delivery period, or complicated delivery is expected.

In such cases the certificate shall be issued within 7 days before the flight.

Air carriage is also not recommended to:

- Healthy newborn babies during 14 days after birth;
- For carriage of babies born earlier than established time, a MEDA certificate of health is required, and such newborn babies shall be included in the MEDA category.

A Group of Passengers

At the check-in each passenger shall produce his/her luggage personally and get an individual luggage tag. Air ticket of one passenger of the group shall contain information on the number of passengers in the group.

Group check-in of luggage is possible when two or more passengers traveling together on the same  flight and to the same destination produce their luggage for carriage. In this case the JSC “Nordavia – regional airlines” gives the passengers the right to carry free of charge luggage, the total weight and pieces number of which correspond to the total weight and pieces number of free luggage allowances for such passengers. Luggage is registered for each individual passenger, except for family members and close relatives.

Passenger Cftegories with the Right for Discounts

The JSC “Nordavia – regional airlines” offers tickets with discounts. Number of passenger categories having the right for such discounts is limited:

       100% discount – infant passengers under 2 years old without separate seat provision (on domestic flights)

       90% discount – infant passengers under 2 years old without separate seat provision (on international flights)

       50% discount – children aged between 2 and 12 years old (on domestic flights)

       33% discount – children aged between 2 and 12 years old (on international flights)

       50% discount – infant passengers under 2 years old with a separate seat provision (upon parents’ request), as well as second, third and further infant passengers under 2 years old traveling with one adult passenger (on domestic flights)
       33% discount – infant passengers under 2 years old with a separate seat provision (upon parents’ request), as well as second, third and further infant passengers under 2 years old traveling with one adult passenger (on international flights)

In order to ensure passengers safety during the flight the Airline shall not accept for transportation passengers who need oxygen for medical purposes.

The airline is entitled to refuse to transport litter patients due to the fact that not all types of aircrafts are designed to carry such persons. According to Article 110 of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Order №82 dated June 18^th, 2007 “On Confirmation of “The General Rules of Transportation by Air of Passengers, Luggage and Cargoes and Conditions of Passengers, Consignors and Consignees Services Provision” (with amendments and additions), “due to the fact that the Airline’s aircrafts are not technically equipped for fixed litter transportation, litter passengers shall be refused for transportation.”

Please note: all passengers belonging to groups WCH (passenger in a wheel-chair), BLND (blind passenger), DEAF (deaf passenger) shall be accepted for transportation with the preliminary consent of the Airline.

All passengers belonging to the group WCHR* shall be accepted for transportation provided they have a medical certificate (MEDIF).

Passengers with reduced physical abilities shall be accepted for transportation both with or without accompanying passengers provided he/she has a certifying document. Transportation of visually impaired passengers shall be considered as transportation under special sanitary rules, and the Carrier is entitled to require presence of an accompanying passenger.      

The Carrier is entitled not to accept for transportation or to continuation of transportation a person whose transporting, due to his/her state of physical or psychological health or age (on the basis of the facts of a medical examination) may constitute a threat for his/her life, security of other passengers and their property, aircraft or its crew.

Services for Passengers with Reduced Abilities

Passengers with reduced physical abilities that require special service on the basis of medical indications have the possibility to book the following services:

       - 72 hours before the flight – special wheel-chair for transportation within the airport zone, transportation to the aircraft, transportation to the aircraft cabin – only after confirmation;
       - 36 hours before the flight – special meals;

-          the passenger depends on the dog;

-          the certificate of special training of such dog has been produced;
